Judith Webb

Judith Webb, born in Dartford and living in the area all her 60 years, lives currently in Wilmington. She joined The Write Place in September 2009, having just retired from work and is enjoying writing for pleasure – so different to writing for the Boss.
At present, she’s writing short fiction stories, anything from 500 to 1500 words. Sometimes the stories incorporate factual research ideas and others are pure fantasy. Her creative mind is being challenged along with her language and grammar skills.
So far she’s had a ‘reader’s letter’ published in Writers Forum, the reward for which was a moleskine notebook, the kind used by Hemmingway. Since then she’s sent two stories to magazines and one to a national competition. She hopes for further success.
Judith has even tried her hand at poetry, writing Pantoums - poems with repetition in alternate lines - and has written two based on Rolling Stones song titles for the Mick Jagger Centre 10th anniversary.
Both her parents wrote factual journals of their early lives and Judith is determined to do the same. She wants her writing to be creative as well as factual. She has two life stories buzzing in her head, one related to her family and one about her 36 years working in the NHS. Watch this space!
