Elaine Everest

Elaine writes fiction and features for many weekly magazines both in the UK and overseas. Her work has been read in My Weekly, Dogs Today, Our Dogs,Dogs Monthly, Your Dogs, Fido Friendly, The Weekly News, Crafts Today, Dog World, Collect It, Take a Break, Build It, Chat, Chat It's Fate, Writers News,You magazine, Fast Fiction, Writers Forum, Work Your Way, Which Motorhome, Camping magazine and Organic Life to name but a few.

She writes extensively for websites and corporate work and leads workshops for writers on many subjects. Elaine's work can be seen in national newspapers such as The Daily Mail, The Daily Express and The Guardian. Much in demand for her opinion pieces on family life, dog ownership and the dog showing world (both in print and on radio) Elaine has been fortunate to have spoken on local radio and also BBC Woman's Hour.

Her book ShowingYour Dog, A Beginner's Guide (How To Books) is fast becoming a best seller. Her second book Canine Cuisine went to number 4 in the dog book section of Amazon UK. A New Puppy in the Family was released in July and can be found in over 220 Waterstones breanches as well as online around the world.

Diamonds and Pearls, a charity anthology with stories donated by 34 of the top short story writers in the UK was edited by Elaine on behalf of The Write Place and was released on February 1st 2011.

Elaine was BBC Radio short story writer of the year in 2002.

Elaine has also had her work published in three charity anthologies; Saucy Shorts For Chefs, Sexy Shorts for the Beach and 100 Stories For Haiti.

Joined by Francesca Burgess, Elaine knows that The Write Place is the only place in the South East where students can learn the craft of writing and become published amongst knowledgeable tutors and friendly students.
