Elaine Everest is a freelance author, writer and journalist. She taught creative writing for Kent Adult Education before setting up The Write Place creative writing school after becoming dissatisfied with the treatment of students who wanted to learn a craft and were stifled by management.

Elaine writes fiction and features for many weekly magazines both in the UK and overseas. Her work has also been read in national newspapers such as The Daily Mail, The Daily Express and The Guardian. Much in demand for her opinions on dog ownership and the dog showing world she has spoken on local radio and also BBC Woman's Hour.

Her book Showing Your Dog, A Beginners Guide (How To Books Ltd) is fast becoming a best seller in canine books.

Canine Cuisine, Elaine's latest book has already gained interest in the national press with Elaine giving interviews to journalists from The Independent and The Daily Mail.

Joined by Catherine Burrow and Francesca Burgess,  Elaine knows that The Write Place is the only place in the South East where students can learn the craft of writing and become published amongst knowledgeable tutors and friendly students.
